좁은 땅 같은 시간 속에서 너무도 다르게 살고 있는 사람들의 무리 속을 이리저리 스치며
모른다는 것 외면하는 것 그리고 알 수 없다는 것
그리하여 이해할 수도 느낄 수도 없는 사람들이
서로 자신의 속성 안에 존재하며 절절이 살고 있는데
우린 아무에게도 몇 시간 전 함께 하던 사람들의 얘기와
그 시공의 모습을 전할 수도 없습니다.
소외라는 것이
교차되는 삶의 공간을 분주히 다가가는 사람이 가지게 되는 것이란 걸 몰랐습니다.
 
hough lots of people are living at the same time zone and place here and now,
their ways of living are so different from each other.
Most of us are just passing them, or ignoring them,
or even never know them. Those who we do not understand or feel are living on their own next to us,
even though we cannot transfer any stores or images about them to anybody.
 
외로움은 굴레 안에 있는 것이 아니라
굴레를 벗어나 순례하는 이들의 몫으로 돌아오고
사람들은 서로서로 제무리 속에서 최선을 다하느라 다른 세상을 소외시킵니다.
그래서 슬픈 이들은 홀로 슬프며 즐거운이 역시 홀로 즐겁습니다.
그리고 저희들처럼 그 여럿을 동시에 만나는 이들은
무리의 즐거움 속에서 홀로 슬픔을 새깁니다.
오랜 친구들 멋들은 오히려 즐거움 쪽에서 스치며 인사를 건네고
변절자처럼 저는 그들 속에서 웃지 못하고
나를 모르는 사람들이 모여 그들끼리 서글피 울던 곳이 그리워서
못내 그 얘기만 새기며 이승을 거닙니다.
 
Loneliness does not exist inside a bridle, but it comes back to those who pilgrimize escaping their bonds,
whereas people are isolating others' world while making best efforts to survive inside their own peerage.
Therefore, the sad are sorrowful alone, and the happy are cheerful alone, too.
And we who meet a lot of people at the same time
remind ourselves of sadness alone inside the joy with others.
Old friends are greeting while passing with joy,
but I, like a betrayer, do not laugh among them, and just walk on this world
while talking about the story and missing the place where I cried a lot together with the unknown.
